Great
Falls Balloon Festival held in August attracts
45 balloonists from across the northeast making it one of the largest
balloon festivals in the Northeast. There are activities throughout
the weekend for the whole family. The Liberty Festival held each year on the Fourth of July is a community wide celebration with live entertainment, games , food and fun, ending with a grand fireworks display. The Festival de Joie is an annual celebration of Lewiston and Auburn's proud Franco-American Heritage. Held the first weekend in August this festival boasts a cultural celebration with traditional food and music.  The
Moxie
Festival is held in downtown Lisbon each year to honor
Moxie, a beverage with distinctive taste. Food, crafts, a parade,
entertainment and carnival rides are available for everyone's entertainment.The Maine State Parade held each May is Maine's largest and most prestigious parade, televised statewide. |
